Introduction & Release Notes

Welcome to Max Canvas. A 2D games engine using the HTML5 canvas element and JavaScript. This product is intended for the novice-intermediate programmer, but it is hoped that the more experienced will find it useful too.
New users are pointed to the “Template” page, which should guide you on the files you will need, then has an annotated example for you to examine.

The more experienced will benefit from the “UML and useful diagrams” page. This describes the sequence of events a program using Max Canvas works within, and the Engine framework/components.

All users will hopefully appreciate the “Examples”. If anyone has further examples they want to show off. Please e-mail me a link to maxsfw3@gmail.com.
